This series has kind of a genius premise, by connecting godhood to superstardom it gives commentary on the religious-like dedication of fandom. While the first volume introduced the world and main storyline, I really liked how this one fleshed it out further while also including more instances of stunning artwork with saturated colors. And that ending was fucking bonkers man.

Vol. 2 of The Wicked + The Divine adds nicely to the events of the first installment. The added character development continues to flush out the world and situations that the reader (myself, at least) might have found a bit shallow in the first volume. Again serving hedonistic, highly intense, and surprisingly tragic beats along with the stunning visuals.

Oooo so many more mysteries but things are getting exciting! I’m also finding it a little easier to remember the characters as we dive deeper.

A little less confusing than the first one, but I’m still not 100% sure what is going on.
I feel like it’s probably supposed to be confusing for a reason, so they can reveal everything later, but it’s still like… huh?? What is going on?

Really great graphic novel! The art is beautiful, and the story is engaging. There are lots of unexpected twists, but they all make sense in the context of this universe. Very fun read!

Didn’t enjoy the introductions in this volume. Will see what’s next. Inanna is my fave of the volume.

I liked this book a bit more than the first one but that ending really took me for surprise. I'm excited to get and read the next comic.
