A fun and engaging book that takes you on a tour of the periodic table, breaking down some of the key points that makes each element useful and exciting in their own right, to give a brief but satisfying overview. A little bit of chemical knowledge (roughly GCSE) is probably needed to enjoy it, but there’s nothing too challenging that should be intimidating. A really good read (and starting place) for anyone with an interest in chemistry, and the history of the elements!

this was an interesting little read! really threw me back to a-level chemistry talking about half-lives and the alkaline metals...those years traumatised me...

it was easy to read but may go over someone's head if they have no gsce/a-level chemistry knowledge

I actually enjoyed this book which was surprising. I think this is due to the short chapters on each element which gave a quick but detailed description of them and included some really interesting facts.
