the teachings are fine but it hasn’t aged well. there are fatphobic comments made in nearly every chapter. There is a very gross section where the author

Recalls a client who was sexually assaulted in a horrifically violent event, Debbie recommends that this person invent positive interpretations for why this event happened including that it was a “blessing in disguise.” </violent> it comes across as victim blaming and could be easily triggering to anyone with a history of abuse.
