This is going to become a regular re-read for me and I honestly think every single person should read it. It's the most actionable book I've found on shadow work, describing what your shadow actually is and how to bring your self to whole was and truly be a better person.

I abandoned it when I got the parts about [insert horrible triggering thing] was a blessing because it made a person more resilient, and that getting arrested and going to jail was good because it helps a lot of people find god.

i don't read many "self-help" books, so i can't compare this to others. some of the language is a little goofy, but WHAT the book is about is the beautiful part. it has helped me learn to own my feelings good and bad, helpful and scary and hilarious and goofy and angry, etc.

A must read! Debbie was taken from this world way too early but her writing and memory will always live on.

Incredibly repetitive and while I grasped the concept, I still wasn't quite wrapping my mind around it. A better read for someone who needs help realizing their bad can also be seen as good, and needs it drilled into them.

“The moment you acknowledge all aspects of yourself, the good and the bad, the ego begins to feel a loss of power.”

“In order to be completely free, we need to be able to own and embrace all the qualities that upset us in other people.”

Great insight here on human nature and how to recognize and accept the good and bad within all of us. New Age gets a bad rep. Yes there's some 'woo-woo', and some ideas are out there, but the sentiment is good which is all that really matters as she's able to effectively communicate the importance of integrating the Jungian shadow to live more authentically and compassionately.
