Halfway through this book and I accidentally read the major spoiler. That BROKE me to even have the time and courage to read this book...

so yeah, the whole story was so so HEARTBREAKING and a bit out of my comfort zone. I didn't really liked Ribbon's developing arc and finding out the spoiler is just a total INJUSTICE to my favorite character Ren, so GOODBYE and I'm definitely not finishing this read sorry.

I am a complete blubbering mess after finishing this book. After so many times of having to walk away because I couldn't read through my tears.. I made it. WOW, was this story heartbreaking and breathtakingly beautiful. One of those stories that will stay with me forever..

So much love... more than anything else I can say about this book, so. much. love. A beautiful story about true soulmates, two people born for one another and strangers that become more than family.

Pepper never sugar coats it and this story was no different. Ripping my heart out yet again. But real life happens, the ups and downs, good and bad and I couldn't help but experience every emotion right along with them. "This is how humans are supposed to exist." So true, in so many ways in this incredible story about love, loss, and perseverance.

Beautifully written, as always. An absolute emotional rollercoaster for those that are brave enough. I couldn't possibly love this Duet more.

This book tore me apart..

Come find me.
Come find me on the meadow where the sun always shines, the river always flows, and the forest always welcomes. Come find me, Little Ribbon, and there we’ll live for eternity.

If you are looking for a book that makes you feel, then look no further. You will first need to read the fantastic book that is [b:The Boy and His Ribbon|37914571|The Boy and His Ribbon (The Ribbon Duet, #1)|Pepper Winters|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1520869059s/37914571.jpg|59624409]. This story is most unique. I don't have the words to describe it. I will say that the ever-present theme throughout this book is LOVE. Love comes in many forms, gentle, kind, innocent, passionate, overpowering, all-consuming, ever-present, real and raw. This duet presents love in all forms and shows how love can change and transition over time.

“Love can’t be confined to pages or photos or memories—it’s forever alive and wild and free."

I almost felt like I've read two books in this one. The second part of the book takes on a separate existence than the first part. Della and Ren are at a crossroads when the book begins. There is an internal struggle, especially on Ren's part. He is at battle with himself and what he feels. Della is becoming an adult but does not bear the weight of what always being the one responsible does to a person. Her thoughts are more singular and decisions are much simpler because they are not clouded by that weight.

"Even though I loved that little girl with all my heart, I no longer bowed to her. I bowed to this new mistress instead."

I am sure I am not alone in saying that Ren is my favorite character in this book. Other male protagonists will be hard pressed to live up to the man that is Ren Wild. He is selfless, protective, passionate, strong and loves Della Ribbon like no other. She, in return, loves him with equal measure. Again, love comes in many forms and they share them all.

"My heart no longer resided in my chest. It made a home in her hand. It settled content in her hold."

I was not expecting this story to go where it did. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this is where Della and Ren would end up. My eyes are swollen from my tears. At one point I had to stop and walk away because the emotion was just too much. [a:Pepper Winters|7151973|Pepper Winters|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1372576704p2/7151973.jpg] What have you done to me? I am crying just thinking about the book. This is not a book that I will forget. These characters don't live inside your average romance novel. They are a great deal stronger, bolder, brighter and they will resonate with many others, just like that did with me. I highly recommend this duet. I am not saying that is will be an easy read. It will not. I loved the story and the writing. I will not be over it any time soon.

"Wild forever and always. I love you."
