I was searching on Overdrive for books about mold - specifically books by Dr. Shoemaker, the mold expert. My library doesn't have any. They suggested this instead...
I have very mixed feelings about this book. It's a combination of interviews with some amazing doctors (including Dr. Shoemaker), and very cringe-worthy "infomercial" type content from the actual author.
The information from the doctors was amazing, 5 star material.
The cringey writing and obvious bias towards all the author's products and beliefs was more like 1 star stuff.
I don't regret reading this - I picked up some really good information, and was reminded of the huge importance of detox to stay healthy in the world we live in.
That being said, I'm still not sure I can wholeheartedly recommend this book. If you do decide to give it a try, I would advise reading the doctor interviews and skimming everything else.

Okay, so, basically I felt like this book was a cross between fear-mongering (Everyone is out to get you! You must protect yourself!) and a sales pitch (Buy my products to protect yourself!). It left me feeling liked I'd been had. Hundreds of pages just so Suzanne Somers can tell that I'm toxic and sick, I need to be fixed, and the way to do it is to buy her makeup line, her haircare line, etc. Mehhhhhhh....

That said, I do want to try her sauerkraut recipe.

Excellent and very helpful information. I was skeptical at first, but I've been incorporating these ideas into my life for about two months now. I've seen a big difference in my overall health and wellbeing.
