I think this has just become my favorite of the Not Quite series and the Weekday Brides series by the same author. I REALLY liked the characters and enjoyed the foray into the world of writing and authors. It made for a most enjoyable book. Catherine Bybee does not disappoint.

Cute book - I thoroughly enjoyed the 4th in this series. I like that she stepped away from the Morrisons and Fairchilds, yet thy tied in. I'm guessing Trent's brother (Glen?) and Mary are the next one!!!!

And yet another 5 star review
I never tire of strong, believable characters... or brilliant storytelling. Ms. Bybee is phenomenal at weaving life into both. I loved the story of Walt and Dakota as much, if not more than the stories of Jack and Jessie , Katie, or Monica. I can't wait to begin book 5.

I liked that there wasn't a lot of angst or drama and that Walt and Dakota actually dated, unfortunately, the story just didn't stay with me as much as I would have liked.

This is the 4th book in the "Not Quite" series by Catherine Bybee, but can be read as a stand alone. I have not read the first three books in the series - yet! - and I did not feel I missed anything.
Dakota Lauren is an uber-successful romance writer - with no romance in her life. I guess when you write happy ever afters your expectations are going to be high for what you want in real life?
You know what I loved most about Dakota Lauren? I loved that we got a glimpse - kinda - into a romance writer's head. Wonder if she is at all based on our Ms Bybee here???
Dr Walt Eddy doesn't want love or a relationship. No time, no inclination. As a worker with Borderless Doctors (think Doctors Without Borders) he is all about saving others.
When these two's world's collide there is sparks and maybe, just maybe, they could be just what the other is looking for.
I did have to chuckle at a scene with Dr Walt at a book convention. I have been to signings and have seen the way ladies are around the cover models so this made it all the more hilarious while reading!
Then again, when it is a hotty like Dr Sexy Walt, who could blame a woman?
I was so glad that this was not an easy relationship for Dakota and Walt. Sure I get the insta-lust, but I can't stand it when a couple goes from meeting to I love You in 3.5 seconds. Both our characters are flawed, have their dramas from their past that are affecting them and their relationships today. I loved being taken along for the ride as they deal with past actions, move on with life and maybe, just maybe, fall in love.
I gotta say, I was not a fan of Dakota's parents, especially her witch of a mother! Worried about her social standing rather than her daughter - grrrr makes me mad!! I wanted to give a big middle finger salute to her!
So do the sexy doctor and sexy author get it together? Is there a HEA just like she writes about in their future?
Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.
Ms Bybee write a sweet, funny romance like no one else. I have read quite a few of her books and I have never been disappointed yet.
If you are after a quick, sweet, fun read, then give Not Quite Forever a go.

Decent romance. Will, from Not Quite Enough, meets Dakota, a romance writer and they hit it off. Then Will has a some issues & things go wrong for a bit. It's been less than a week since I read this book. I cannot remember much of the plot, except it was a sweet romance, with a little bit of angst. I give books that I liked but didn't make much of an impression on me 3 stars.

This was probably my favorite book in the series so far. I loved Dakota and, of course, Walt. I was happy he was getting his own story after the last book.
These two definitely have some fun, and even though they have different family types, they have a lot in common. I love that they both chose careers that they enjoyed rather than do what was expected of them.
They needle each other, but also have a lot of hardships to overcome. The only person I didn’t care for was Walt’s mom. She acted insane at times. But I liked seeing the different types of relationships grow into more.
I can’t wait for the next book to come out. We get to see what happens with Dakota’s feisty best friend.
