So damn drab and uninteresting, but the artwork is gorgeous

A very bad comic with a very good annual issue.

The whole gods storyline feels like the book is spinning its wheels on something that ultimately matters very little to the larger series.

I would recommend just picking up the annual, which has nothing to do with that bollocks, and enjoying a Plastic Man prison break with the original series writer.

It's basically "the gods be crazy" in DC style

Lo dicho, el año más flojo de los 5. Lo mejor fue el annual con Plastic Man siendo superhipermega badass.

Here's the thing: if I wanted to read about the Greek gods and their drama, I would just go and re-read the Percy Jackson series. I want Batman! I want Superman! I want the magic that was this early series!

The best thing about this volume was Tom Taylor coming back at the end and doing this short story about the Plastic Man. It was a reminder of just how great Taylor was for this series, and the grasp he has of the characters and of the story.

One more year to go!

Still just a fun series. They can do things they can't do anywhere else and the reigns seems to be fully off of the characters. Just great stuff.

Okay, what is happening here? In an effort to stretch out this story I think the author has lost sight. In this volume Harley Quinn is in Hades? Poseidon is taking sides with Superman? Aquaman is taking on Poseidon? Oh and then lets throw in Darkseid just because.

The only thing I really enjoyed about this volume was the last issue. Plastic Man shows up when his son is arrested. He tells the Justice League what's what and then busts his son out of the Trench, along with every other super villain. This story line was funny and interesting and a welcomed break from a title that has become very wash rinse repeat.
