This was probably one of her best. It was so cringey!! And had to reread the ending a few times to make sure I had read it right.

I found both Eve and Addie annoying as hell. Addie especially. I know she's a mentally ill teenage girl, but she is still so annoyingly naive, some teens have a bit more common sense, and you'd think after the previous year and her father she'd have at least some!
I hated Nate even more after we got his POV.  He had scum written all over him and was the type of teacher I actively avoided in high school, the teacher who was just a little too nice and playful. I get why he picked out Addie. He knew she was having a tough time and preyed on her.
I say the "twist" with Kensey coming, but not the big final reveal! The only thing, that saved this book from being a low 3-star to a high 2-star, was the twists I didn't see coming.

Narrator Rating: 3 stars
I don't know if it was the speed or what, but at certain points in the book, the female narrator sounded like she had a terrible lisp and was very whiny.

Love aka Romance-NA    Mystery-2/5     Predictability-2.5/5   Spice-0.5/5    Suspense-4/5   Tear- 3.5/5  Thrill-4/5  Humor-NA

I found this to be medium to fast pace with complex characters who were pretty realistic. McFadden is good at building suspense and tension. However, there were some cliches and I didn’t find the ending satisfying, I wasn’t pleased with the final twist, there were some things in the story that seemed too coincidental.
