I don’t think I have ever written a review before, but this is only getting two stars because the writing style was enjoyable to me. The plot was a huge miss. The plot twists would have been interesting if they were developed more, or actually made sense upon reread. Felt like the author didn’t proof read her work.

🌟4.5🌟 after getting into part 3 and as the story began to end, I thought we had met our final twist. But the last chapter… I’m speechless. Freida just couldn’t spare us!! I feel like she just left me on the edge of a cliff, but I love it, I’m more than okay with it. My imagination is running countless story lines and it makes me want more!!
I was impressed this time around with the POVs. Can the events of this story make readers uncomfortable? Sure. But I felt more emotion in this story than I have with The Housemaid series.
Needless to say - I am recommending Freida to everyone and I cannot wait to read more!!

Devoured this book in 2 days. Truly excellent, I enjoyed it even more than the housemaid. A mind boggling read with two interesting perspective shifts throughout.

This is such a mind-blowing plot! I was taken aback because I did not expect it at all.

At first I thought there’s something disturbing about Addie. I did not even suspect anything with Nate but I do have a feeling something is off about it. As for Eve, she just seems like a normal character.

The ending just blows my mind. The truth about who set-up all those creepy things at Nate & Eve’s house after what Nate and Addie had done. I would never expect “that person” to do it! Also the truth about Kenzie. That was totally surprising for me. The most surprising for me is Jay. Like whaaattt?? I did not expect him to be the guy she was sleeping with. Addie doesn’t even have a clue about it. Everything at the end just blows my mind. It’s twists after twists that I never expect.

Overall, this is such a great read. At first it’s kinda slow and then it progress quickly from the middle to the end. Definitely recommended to everyone who likes mystery/thrillers.

The amount of unhinged content in this book is absolutely psychotic. I love Ms. McFadden, but a grippy sock vacation might be a good thing for her. I wanted so badly to rate this book a 1, but how could I when there was twist even within the last 5 sentences?! It was just so well written which her books usually are. One thing’s for sure: both Nate and Eve are absolutely disgusting; I gagged several times, screamed in public on more than one occasion and my jaw became a semi-permanent fixture on the floor. At the same time, I had to finish it and it’s 100% a 5-star book.
