I found the characters idiotically naive. Since the characters lacked common sense, I didn't find them very believable. I considered leaving the book unfinished, but I wanted to know how it ends.
I did not see it coming that the other Bennett would be involved with a teenager as well.

Though Freida finally threw a plot twist at me I didn't see coming, it was NOT worth the disgusting adult/minor, pedophilia, grooming story line. Absolutely do not recommend. I'm so fucking done with this author.

My first Freida McFadden book and wow! I can see what the hype is about! I loved the writing style, the character descriptions, the plot twists, all of it!

Ugh I move through these books so quickly. The writing style is not meticulous or well crafted, but these plots always seem to wrap me in. The theme of this book was difficult and for those who were Addie, I’m sending so much love

I was so excited to read this book because I’ve seen praise for it and McFadden everywhere, but this was NOT it for me.
The writing was terrible and so incredibly repetitive. If I have to read how long a SnapFlash lasts one more time…
There was so much focus on whether a character was pretty and/or skinny and/or hot and what people could do to make themselves more appealing - I didn’t see the need for it? It contributed nothing to the characters or their stories.
The big twist at the end was revolting and unnecessary, it felt like it was only put in there for the shock factor (which I guess is what twists are for). But for Eve to be on her high horse and Nate sleeping with a student then turns out she’s doing the same? Abso-bloody-lutely not.

AND for so many characters to be so blasé about murder?! “We should call the police” “No, I need[ed] this cause they were awful” “ok” WHAT

AND Eve was hit on the head with a frying pan (thrice!) then strangled - enough for her lips to turn blue - then half buried alive for her to just pop out the ground like nothing happened?! Jay comes to pick her up and the first thing he says is “where are your shoes?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?”

The more I think about this book the more agitated I get
