Thank you Sharon J for recommending this book to me. This was an amazing read. It was romantic and cute. I loved Jason. I thought that there was more to his character than football. Also, I loved the fact that before meeting Jaxon and his mother, Addison, he was a bachelor who can have any woman. However, Addison changed him. She became all he can this about, well besides her adorable son, Jaxon. Jaxon is adorable, and Jason is his hero. I loved seeing the interactions between him and Jason. It was cute. Addison and Jason’s relationship started out as friendship then it grew into love. Addison was fighting her attraction for Jason because she was afraid her son would lose his hero as a friend. Their relationship had a slow burn quality to it and I loved watching them fall in love. The secondary characters were amazing as well. I can’t wait to see what book 2 brings. Overall, an incredible read.

What a pleasant surprise this book was! I heard about it last night and I was so interested in the story that I started it this morning and finished it a little after.

Jason is a football star who is enjoying the single life. His friend Lindsay asks him to speak to the kids at the school where she teaches and he agrees. Little does he know that his life would he changed by a little boy named Jaxon Bryant.

Jason meets Jaxon at the school. He is his biggest fan and he and Jason form a connection. Jaxon lost he dad 6 months ago to a car accident and Jason experienced the same thing around his age. Jason somehow felt connected to Jaxon and wanted to get to know him. Of course with that, comes meeting his mom..Addison.

I love how this story flowed. Jason wanted to be a friend to Jaxon and while that's happening he is starting to fall for Addison as well. You think everything is going well but Addison pulls away and is hesitant because of her insecurities because of how her husband treated her for years before he died. I felt so bad for her because she was holding back thinking the same about Jason being that he was in the spotlight. Jason doesn't take no for an answer and decides to prove her wrong.

I love how their relationship grew..more him and Jaxon. they became so close and I loved how his text messages to Jason had him feeling better no matter how his day went. I loved how Jason was with Addison showing her how beautiful she was and made her feel special no matter what. she deserved it too. u don't have to be that skinny perfect looking model all the time. Jason was a man who appreciated all the curves and that was a plus in my book :) well done.

I can not mention how awesome his friends Deuce and Lindsay were. They were hilarious and were great supporting characters. honorable mention goes out to Mick too. :)

Overall I am glad I took a chance on this story. it was sweet and well written. towards the end I was glad certain things got cleared up. :)

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more from this author. :) do yourself a favor and add this to your tbr list today! you won't be disappointed ;)

This was a cute read. I originally read this back in 2014, and it kind of sat with me enough that every so often I would think about rereading it. That certainly says something, considering I read about 250 books a year, and while I reread many books, they're always books that I enjoyed the first time. It took me a while, but I gave it another go around.

I really liked that the characters had some personality. The author did a good job of building them up. I liked the plot of the story, as well. Give me a professional football player any day! I wish that the end had been a little more convincing for me. It felt a little rushed, although there is a sequel to this book, so maybe that was the purpose. I'll know more once I read that!

Good, entertaining, sweet read!

I've had this book on my TBR for a few years and never gotten around to reading anything by this author. While I was scrolling through my hundreds of books on my Kindle, I randomly closed my eyes and just tapped on a book and this was the winner. I'm glad that I finally got around to reading this book because Jason is definitely not the average jock with the chip on his shoulder. He's more like the boy next door and M.E. Carter's writing reflects that really well. It was also really refreshing reading a full book from a male POV. This is a first for me and I didn't expect it when I first started reading for it to carry on.

I would have loved for longer scenes between Addison and Jason because I feel like their intimate moments were short-lived at times in the book. The dialogue between the characters throughout the book was really enjoyable and made it a really nice easy and quick read. I think a points it started to lose my attention with how easy the storyline was but I will definitely be reading more of the series.

Thank goodness for Jacob Morgan’s narration for helping me make it through this one. The story was okay, cute and a little cheesy. The drama at the end was so ridiculous. But it was sweet, a nice summer listen.

I cried within the first two chapters. I loved the relationship between Jason and Jaxon. It was so easy for them to connect and Jason really did make a difference in Jaxon's life. Addison on the other hand... I couldn't stand the hot and cold act still was constantly playing. I honestly didn't think they would end up together by the end of this book. And I kind of wished they didn't in a way that Jason could still adopt Jaxon as his own.

I don't get why there's another book. It ended on a good note and I heard the next book is hella depressing. I won't be reading it purely because I can't stand Addison's selfishness.
