This was a nice continuation of this series. I hated seeing how Emmett has been treated his whole life and it’s hard for him to accept anything else. Lyle is just trying to get through his time as acting alpha and then this whole mating thing comes up. Lyle is so sweet to Emmett and they can only stay apart for so long.

It felt like there was a bit too much of unnecessary back and forth with Warren and his acting hot and cold. In the end I still couldn’t like Warren, even if he kinda tried to redeem himself in the end. He let his father’s walk all over him and in return hurt Emmett even if he was “protecting” him too.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review

Still lacks a good editor, but it is much better than the first book in the series. Hence a slightly better rating.

Easy and fast read, still not much depth.

A slave rises

Emmett is a slave for another pack who comes as a servant. Lyle is an alpha who is his mate. Let the fun begin!
