Rien de novateur dans ce récit mais ce livre était néanmoins très agréable à lire, je n’ai pas vu les pages défiler. Le personnage d’August est fort attachant et je lirais le second tome avec plaisir.

I like the premise, but the overall plot is somewhat boring. I don't really like Kate either but I like August and the good vs bad monster debate.

Me ha gustado mucho este libro. Una ciudad llena de monstruos donde la violencia engendra más violencia, literalmente. Los personajes me han gustado bastante, sobre todo August y Sloan. Una lectura rápida, ágil y muy adictiva. Y ese final... espero poder leer pronto el siguiente libro porque me ha dejado con muchas ganas de más. Lo que me ha faltado es un poco más de sorpresa porque todo lo que pasa se veía venir desde hacía tiempo, pero he disfrutado mucho de la lectura.

I flew through this book! I literally could not put it down!
This book was a really enjoyable read and I loved the characters (especially August) and the story! The monster aspect blended with the dystopian feel and the main character’s friendship (I liked how it was friendship and nothing more) made this book captivating. The book felt shorter than it is...if that makes sense. When I read it, the book didn’t feel like 400+ pages (in the best possible way).
By the way...that ending!?!?!? Welp, guess imma have to read the next book :)
