What started as a continuation into my curiosity of "Blondes in Hollywood", has left me enlightened yet again- that social media and Hollywood has victimized yet another incredibly intelligent, intellectual, and talented woman into being another "blonde bimbo". It's insulting, damaging, and incredibly cruel...

If Jessica Simpson is as empathetic, honest, kind and as real in her memoir as she is in real life- I'd like to believe she is one of few celebrities truly deserving of the wealth and fame she's amassed. Hell, I'd even be her friend, too! 😅

Her memoir was cohesive, organized, and was so emotionally charged, that listening to her narrative in audiobook format made me cry several times.

Donating her time and money to different causes, all while juggling her careers, family, and the subsequent public eye, is so honorable... Where was all the media coverage on THAT? Instead, she's just been ripped apart for her appearance time and again...

I thought several times while listening to her tell her story, "like damn, wish I had an OUNCE of that empathy for others!" Jessica Simpson is a woman of faith, and has put in the work to be the person God set before her. She's truly an inspiration.

I've never been a die-hard fan of her music, but never disliked her either, but the songs at the end of her audiobook feel so raw, personal, and heartfelt- I'm a little disappointed to see she hasn't made more music... Maybe one day she will... If the media will stop f*cking bullying people!! 😩

Great celebrity memoir. She seems honest, human, and kind. Shares some gossip.

She doesn't delve into what you may initially think she would. For example, she doesn't throw any credence at the rumor that her label forced her to show her belly button for sex appeal, nor does she ever give any validity to the rumor about permanent damage to her singing voice. Maybe the rumors were false. Maybe the rumor about adopting a bad technique for awhile is the one that's true? 🤷 Who knows?! I really don't care, truly. I've heard some of her newest stuff and don't really hear any vocal strain. This is one of the best autobiographies I've ever read! She doesn't really give a play by play of her careers, but rather writes this as if she's recalling her memories to you in an in-person conversation. It's more than charming. It's alluring. She also shows growth and a willingness to laugh at herself,  which is very becoming. Maybe her vocal strain over a decade ago was a cry for help? It could have been because part of this book was about her facing her demons. It's also funny at parts. Especially how she describes the way she sings, LoL. 5 stars.
