What started as a continuation into my curiosity of "Blondes in Hollywood", has left me enlightened yet again- that social media and Hollywood has victimized yet another incredibly intelligent, intellectual, and talented woman into being another "blonde bimbo". It's insulting, damaging, and incredibly cruel...

If Jessica Simpson is as empathetic, honest, kind and as real in her memoir as she is in real life- I'd like to believe she is one of few celebrities truly deserving of the wealth and fame she's amassed. Hell, I'd even be her friend, too! 😅

Her memoir was cohesive, organized, and was so emotionally charged, that listening to her narrative in audiobook format made me cry several times.

Donating her time and money to different causes, all while juggling her careers, family, and the subsequent public eye, is so honorable... Where was all the media coverage on THAT? Instead, she's just been ripped apart for her appearance time and again...

I thought several times while listening to her tell her story, "like damn, wish I had an OUNCE of that empathy for others!" Jessica Simpson is a woman of faith, and has put in the work to be the person God set before her. She's truly an inspiration.

I've never been a die-hard fan of her music, but never disliked her either, but the songs at the end of her audiobook feel so raw, personal, and heartfelt- I'm a little disappointed to see she hasn't made more music... Maybe one day she will... If the media will stop f*cking bullying people!! 😩

This was definitely a surprise win for me. I am a fan of Jessica Simpson and already had the belief that she was smarter than the media gave her credit for, however this was cemented after reading this
Jessica was so open and honest about her family, upbringing, relationships and personal struggles. The book was told in chronically order and was well written. I chose the audio version which Jess narrated herself and the emotion in the reading made me laugh and cry along with Jess. Absolutely loved this and I have an even greater respect for the gorgeous Jessica Simpson after this

I never really like to rate memoirs or nonfiction of this sort because I feel like I’m not supposed to find entertainment in someone sharing their story. But the reason I gave this  book 4 stars is because, towards the middle I completely zoned out. I was here and wasn’t all at the same time. That was the only flaw of the book. Some things could have been left out, I feel, but again it’s not my place to judge someone’s life.

I love this book. Jessica Simpson deserves so much more credit than she has received.
I listened to the audiobook and that was even more fun bc it felt like she was personally telling me about her life.
I’m so proud of her, as much as I can be for a stranger. But hearing her tell her story feels like getting to know a new friend.
