Amazing
Casey and Beatle (Troy) are ansokutelt amazing. The jungle rescue has just got to be my favorite part. Susan has done it again.

Well, the insta-love was real in this one. Although I'll admit it was done pretty well, all things considered. The fact that Beatle saw Casey's picture and fell in love is the type of story that's been seen and told a lot, but I liked the fact that while it only took him about half a second, he still learned about Casey before deciding he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
Beatle was actually great. I loved how he tried to let Casey take things slow but also didn't quite coddle her. He acknowledged she'd been through hell and everything but he never held any of her actions against her; he just talked to her and held her as needed.
Casey was tough, I'll admit that. But I rolled my eyes at the number of times she started to acknowledge she had feelings for Beatle and then she'd roll it back because "he's only doing this because of adrenaline; there's no way he'd actually like me because I'm sweat and gross and smell like jungle". Even after getting back to Texas where Beatle made it clear 5000 times that his feelings/declarations were true and he wasn't leaving, she'd still go "but it was the jungle" and stop herself from saying something that would make her look "weak".
I did like getting to see the other couples and how things are going for them. I want to get to Truck and Mary's book ASAP though because I need to see their story!!
Like Rescuing Bryn , the villain felt a little out of nowhere. Unlike RB though, at least this villains motives half made sense and weren't a random Taliban connection. Although this villain was bat-shit crazy, that's for sure. I do wonder how they expected things to turn out if Casey hadn't been rescued. Based on the things that happened at the end, Casey's information was actually needed so that step was a little weird. And there was a comment about "high and might Dr. Shea brought low" that felt like it came out of nowhere. Granted, the villain was crazy so who knows, but yeah.Â

Overall it was fine. The story line felt like it just dragged on and on. I would recommend if you are looking for a low impact actions insta love story.

This is book 7 and stands alone but you'll want to read the rest to get to know the guys and their families.
There was a mystery going on in this book that finally came to light at the end. It kept me glued to this story trying to piece it together. I was totally invested in the characters and enjoyed their journey. Plenty of action, drama, suspense and loving. I highly recommend this book.

This is a wonderful mix of romance, adventure, action, steam and suspense. It's a little slow burn, not in terms of chemistry and desire but the shear fact that Casey and Troy/Beatle are trying to escape the jungle.
I really liked both characters, they were believable and felt very natural in their speech, thoughts and actions. Their chemistry was hot and there is plenty of heat in the book but not too much to spoil the story.
The pace is good, the book held my attention, and the writing style is easy to read and engaging. There are some good plot twists and, although I've only read one other book in the series, I did feel as though I got to know most of the secondary characters.
This can be read as a standalone but it's good enough to make me want to catch up on the other guy's stories!
