Not a bad sequel. I enjoyed being with Kami and the gang again - loved seeing Unspoken's ending sort of explained, but jeez this one's ending is hard to handle. The wait for book #3 is going to be tricky.

I've got to be honest since I read these one after the other they all kinda blend together so I'll just say I loved it & move on :)

Expect Jared I kinda want to strangle you with my bare hands!!!

At the present rate, there will not be enough plot for so much as a single book spread across this trilogy.

The characters in this series are so readable that I find I have a hard time putting these down. The Lynburn Legacy is a mash-up of small town gothic and urban fantasy, except I have a hard time categorizing this as "urban" fantasy because they are in a tiny rural town. The books in this series are pretty slow moving. Not a lot of action until the end of this one, and that is still kind of glossed over. Often it seems like they just aren't doing enough to prepare for the coming battle but somehow it works. Just like the first book, I did get incredibly frustrated with Kami several times and wanted to slap her when it came to her interaction, or should I say non interaction, and lack of trust in Jared; still Untold is a very enjoyable book.

It was tough to decide between 3 and 4 stars, but I'm a generous rater, what can I say? It had the same fun wit and great characters that I fell in love with in the first book, so I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it. But, as is often the case with middle books, not much happened for most of the book. The last 70 pages or so was great - exciting and emotional, and I feel confident that the third book is going to be action-packed.

I need the next one NOW. Jared you are an idiot the first half you pissed me off being a miserable bastard and then you piss me off at the end playing the hero on your own grrrr. Loved Kami as much in this one as I did the first one too

i accidentally deleted my review of this book, oops.

i prefer the first one over the second and the third. untold is pretty funny, but its lack of plot becomes unmade(the book with the actual plot)’s downfall. by funny, i mean unserious. i cannot take this series seriously, and that is why i enjoy it.

my favorite characters are the lynburn cousins, and i had fun seeing their development. they are Brennan’s most interesting characters, but something still feels missing with ash. that is a bummer, because he had a lot of potential. but by the end, and throughout unmade, he is just there. in my opinion, i don’t think he got enough love by the author.

in unspoken, kami and jared’s relationship had complexity. kami didn’t want jared to be real because she realized how exposed she was to someone. she wanted him to only be a physical person, not someone stuck in her brain. jared didn’t want kami to be real because he wanted her to be his friend forever. he preferred if she was just someone stuck in his mind forever. yet in untold that all kind of gets thrown in the trash just because they really miss each other. maybe i’m biased cuz i was 100 percent on kami’s side during unspoken, but i wish the book focused on how the link was BAD for the two, just as much as it was good. and, sorry to bring the third book up but,
at the end of unmade, jared starts going on about he always wanted kami to be real?? i don’t even know what book i have  been reading anymore

idk how to conclude this other than the fact that this was my fav “guilty pleasure” read and it made me feel a lot of emotions, like GAGGED, for example. notice how in this review i’m talking a lot about the characters and not the actual plot. you can tell what’s more interesting to me.

I spent the majority of this book wanting to inflict bodily harm on most of the cast. It became the typical YA soap opera, with everybody losing their minds and acting like fools. Thankfully, the last 30% of the book was redeeming, and I forgave most of the asinine antics that were prevalent for the first 70%.

I'm too invested to stop now.
