There is spiritistic events in this book. Chapter 5 is titled Omans. It has talks of terot cards as well as the Omans. That is as far as I went. To each their own. It's my own preference not to participate in books with spiritism.

3.5, якщо вже зовсім чесно, але я сьогодні добра
Кумедна й іронічна, легко і швидко читається. В цілому дуже непогано, щоб скоротати вечір-другий, коли хочеться чогось легковажного.

Charming, witty, and hilarious, this is truly one of my favorite novels of the year! As a Jane  Austen fan I was very intrigued by this book, and it did not disappoint. Definitely a must read!

A murder at a ball and a case to solve it with many twists. Also funny bits and an interesting main character. And a very long epilogue, which is nice. Also the recipes at the end were a nice touch.

Cute but weird! Like Jane Austen meets the Munsters, I. Can see this becoming a series. Sure, it’s a country house mystery, but it’s also glow in the dark frogs, a mysterious swamp, and there’s something about sister Mary that no one is talking about. Fun!

2.5? Idk, wtf was the rhyming when the killer gets exposed and why was Drake so bad at his job when he’s supposed to be the competent of the two detectives from London? I guess it was fun enough but also not recommending or re-reading ever ever again
