Super cute YA, reminded me so much of the books I read when I was in my teens. Love!

A very cute (if somewhat simplistic) story. Personally, I get the impression this author took a step back from her usual, more complex stories, to attract younger readers.

I listened on audiobook and found it quit entertaining. My only objection regarding the book/author would be the MC's "best-friends" lack of consideration, which in one particular example is never properly addressed.

Spoiler:
When MC's friends make plans for prom and including their so-called friend was never even a blip on their radar, that isn't just them not being able to accept her girliness, that is such a total lack of consideration no matter what a person identified as. The writer uses the reconciliation scene near the end to acknowledge that the MC was laughed at. But seriously, when all around the world, consideration for one another is at an all time low, the author would have done a better service to her readers at stressing the utter thoughtlessness of people who were supposed to be her friends. I really would have liked a scene with this being spoken of between all of the characters involved, not just the close friend. IMHO.

Sweet Story

I really enjoyed this one, quick read with lots of character development packed into a relatively short period of time. The romantic story was sweet and not over the top the author didn't go the uncomfortably-fast-paced route for an MC who starts out as an unkissed virgin. Solid storyline about understanding and leaning into who you are and what you want, and being okay with how and if that changes from what you thought you wanted initially.

Fun and easy, although very stereotypical and cliché book.
I love a good sports romance, and I enjoyed the theme of baseball (even though I know nothing about the game).

The whole concept of the girl wanting to be a "real girl" was a bit weird and some phrases just left me with a bad feeling. I think the general idea was good - a girl wanting to find herself and see what else she liked besides her sport, and just opening her true self to everybody -, but the execution was just full of gender stereotypes.

Somehow I still enjoyed this though #guiltypleasure

This book was so lovely. It’s a great story about love, friendship, and most importantly being comfortable with who you are. Loved the romance of the two characters they were completely cute. The best friend reaction to things had me frustrated for a while but you finally kind of see where he’s coming from in all this. Such a cute and heart warming story.
