I'm still processing how I feel about this book. I'm glad I finally read it, but I don't know that I'd read it again.  I will probably give the next book a try.

There was a lot of rambling in the middle
between Louisiana and Paris. The beginning Louisiana part was pretty solid, as was the theater near the end, but the middle was just kindof unmemorable for me.

This is the book to read if you need to be reminded, via the purplest of prose, that having a child to save your marriage is a terrible idea.
