Dead Drop- Tate James

5/5 Stars!

It was torture waiting to get my hands on a copy of this book after the ending of the last. You know what they say about delayed gratification, it only makes the climax that much sweeter! It did not disappoint me in the slightest. This series has a way of getting my heart racing and my adrenaline pumping with how much action is packed from beginning to end. I honestly think these side effects make the spicy scenes that much more intense because my cheeks stayed flushed, and my heart stayed pounding. I loved that the intimate scenes involved were very diverse. I made notes of a little bit of praise (we all love a "good girl" moment), voyeurism, exhibitionism, restraints, and varying degrees of edge play. Let me say even if it's not for you, the scenes were written in such a way that in the moment you felt like there was nothing sexier in the world. I think it is a beautiful thing if an author can make you feel that way about something that you yourself are typically not into.
Moving on to character development. Anytime an author writes a book with multiple potential love interests, I need a few things to happen if they intend for the heroine to end up with more than just one. I need the men to each bring something different to the table. In the first book I was a little worried that these alpha possessive males were too much alike, but this book really developed all the characters further and each male had their own way of showing their developing feelings for Danny. I typically don't like the men to get too jealous over the heroine because it should be about pleasing her, but this was the 'touch her and you die' type of jealous. Except these men back up their statements with a whole lot of violence, and their 'mine' attitude put them straight into my personal book boyfriend harem. I want to say BRAVO to the author, because not only did I fall in love with these men, but I put a heroine into my personal harem as the first ever book girlfriend in that harem. Danny's personality was so bold, confident, cheeky, sexy, and a force to be reckoned with her personality leaked off the page and into my heart. She was not only a powerhouse of a heroine, but she commanded the attention of everyone she encountered including me. Lastly, I need the heroine to spend time separate and together with the males. I need to see her form individual bonds, friendship, companionship, intimacy, and trust individually as well as see how they all work together. Although we are still left with Danny and the men sifting through their emotions and resolving their conflicts, I felt like I could picture the relationship forming and sticking in the end. It was spot on for me.
Some of the secrets we encountered in book one start to tie together, but more secrets unfold in this book. If you like books that are action packed with a strong heroine that can rival more than one dominating hero personalities, than this is the series for you! Start with the sexy lure of Honey Trap before chasing the high of Dead Drop.

Another great addition to the series. Keen to find out what happens next.

Dead Drop

Ahhh... this book was packed with a ton of explosive moments. Danny trying to work out whose after her, while trying to also figure out the Guild and its baby craziness. Leon and Kai, both doing their best to woo and protect her. But that ending

AHHHHH?!?!

I liked this a lot more. Simply for Leon and cause his psychopathy is growing on me. Is he still too much? Yes, but it's fine. As long as Danny wants him, it's good.

Kai, you dumb fuck, go away, please. Into a different book where you can get the love you deserve and Leon and Danny can be happy together.

If this turns into a throuple, I'm not entirely sure how it is going to work out because by now Kai and Leon should have a semblance of getting along and they are not. They are very much not getting along and it's quite violent.

My favorite scene was when Leon beat the shit out of Kai. It was fantastic. I wish we read it and not simply heard about it.

I loved the MK and Hades cameos.

Are we going to learn more about Layla/ Charlotte? I need more info about her.

Also, that reveal at the end. Her mother. Is there to help? Does she want to kill Danny? What is happening? I'm very excited and June could not come any sooner. 4 stars. And team Leon.

Before I start this review I just wanted to say thank you Tate and PeachyKeenas for providing me with an arc!

Damn. This book was crazy good! I should’ve known Tate James was going to hit me hard with the twists and turns in this book.

This book is action packed and oh so steamy! Danny is trying to figure out why a circle member wants her dead and well, obviously a lot more happens, but I won’t spoil anything… But for real though, this was such an addicting book and I am still in shock after finishing it. Leon is quite the guy…. He’s great though. Maybe a lil crazy? Yes, but I love him. Kai, well, I love him too! I am obsessed with Kai and Leon. Gah, I always fall for the bad guys… Oh well. Anyways, let’s talk about Danny. She is a freaking badass and I absolutely love her! She doesn’t take anyone’s crap, that’s what I love about Tate’s writing, she always writes badass female characters! I honestly could go on and on about this book, but I won’t. Just go and pre order this book right now!!! Right NOW! Alright I’m good…

Seriously though, this was a fantastic read and I can’t wait for the third book!

5 stars!!
