I liked this. Was glad I listened so that the language wasn't a barrier to reading.
It had the best description of a fear of death that I've heard.

Wouldn't be Christmas without listening to this gem. I love Focus on the Family radio theater and we always listen to their performance of A Christmas Carol while cleaning the house for Christmas company. If you haven't experienced Dickens' classic in this format before, you should fix that!

"I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons they teach."

The story had a strong beginning and end, but in between,
Spoilerparticularly the chapter of the Ghost of Christmas Present,
I found myself getting too distracted and it failed to keep my attention from time to time.

I originally planned on reading this before Christmas, but I became busier than I'd hoped. It's still a nice read though, one that will definitely get you into the holiday spirit.

Although it may sound scary to read a classic like this, especially in a very busy time of the year, this is the perfect read to get into Christmas spirit. It shows how there’s hope for good in every single person, if only they learn to change their perspective, and how Christmas is a season for forgiveness and love.

This is a beautiful read to make the corners of your lips tug up in a smile and a warm feeling of happiness spread through your body.

A Christmas Carol is just a lovely short Christmas read that's a perfect representation of what the holiday is all about. I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to read classics or Christmas stories. The story creates such atmosphere and I'm always pleasently surprised by the writing style and wit used in the story.
