• Took a while for me to get into it, but then I didn't want to put it down again. Just like the first part!
• Avasarala is kind of incredible, her constant cursing is just hilarious
• Character development: top notch imo
• I love the changing of the protomolecule, it keeps getting more interesting and more high stakes
• The end??? Um I need to continue immediately
• Proper fucking diverse characters

The world that Corey builds is engrossing and hard to put down. At times, the details are so enthralling that it feels like an episode of Star Trek. Other times, the details fly over my head, but the general story still sinks in. The characters in the second book were better written and showed a tad more development compared to the first book.
