Funny! But it's mostly exposition and a very loose philosophy- I listened to the audiobook (read by Patrick Warburton aka Kronk) and found it very entertaining. I think if I would have read a physical copy I wouldn't have liked it as muchÂ

I love Lemony Snicket's writing and credit A Series of Unfortunate Events as the books that made me fall in love with reading so many years ago. Reading this latest book upon its release was a must.
This book is said to be one about bewilderment, which I think is the perfect way to describe it. I cannot tell if I loved this book or if I hated it. Initially, I was turned off by the stream of consciousness style of the writing and didn't feel like what is ultimately a book about nothing really worked. However by the end, I was laughing out loud and engrossed in all of the brilliant tangents that make up this story. The plot seemed like an after thought. Hopefully I'll be able to sort out my thoughts when I inevitably reread this.
I am sure, however, that the notes at the end gave me a new reading list, along with some fantastic classical music suggestions that paired well with the reading experience. Who knew my favorite childhood author had fabulous music taste?
