Story was enjoyable but certainly didn’t feel very realistic. The writing wasn’t that great and there were frequent grammar mistakes. Though, there were some great quotes in this book. May or may not revisit this series.

i see the vision, but it wasn't executed well. i really enjoyed the plot of this book, it has quite a few grammatical errors but it was still readable. it just really needs some polishing! i have a few issues with it, mostly character wise.
Spoiler some of them do things that seem really off and unlike how theyre written. like aaron knowing about lily's plan the entire time? but never saying or doing anything about it? while he's established as this protective older brother. it just didn't seem to match up with him. and winter- i didn't like her at all. i know that was probably the point, she was supposed to be a bad friend, even though lily wasn't very nice to her either. in the beginning lily seemed very unlikable and mean, which i guess is the reality of mental illness sometimes but i dislike the fact that they were supposedly long term best friends and didn't even like each other and rarely seemed to spend time together. i don't understand the relationship lily has with her mom. in her inner monologue and some of the letters, she says her mom was a good mother and how her and lily loved each other but then when she turned 15 it seemed like a switch had flipped- what's that about? i feel like randomly deciding you hate your kid and want her dead doesn't just Happen, you know? and there wasn't really any memories of her being a good mom before then. i would've liked to explore that relationship more. the nickname lily gave her notebook was just... cringey and awkward and doesn't really make any sense. the steamy parts were written well but kind of threw me off because colins character doesn't seem like the type that would have sex with a girl he knew was going to die in a few days, it seemed really strange!

Such a great book! Focused on a sensitive topic while remaining thoughtful at no point did the author make it seem like Lily’s suicidal thoughts could be instantly fixed. Only downside was the language being slightly odd at points which disrupted the flow but otherwise a fab book
