Great for a fast read. Gore everywhere. Expected for the ending to be better but if you are here just for the horror then you will be satisfied. I'll be nice and say it's a 3/5.

A dutiful wife cares for her husband as he succumbs to a horrific illness, however the story gets much darker as more of their circumstances are revealed.

While the protagonists devoted yet clinical care for her spouse makes for an interesting dynamic, the real fascination is the dramatic use of gloriously detailed gruesome  imagery and the bizarre twists that spring forth.

By the mid-point of this short, bizarre (but well-crafted) story I thought I had a sense of where it was going, but boy was I wrong…
