Loved this fictionalized account of the love story of Heather Chapman's grandparents who came to America from Poland at the turn of the century. It's a quick enjoyable read. Perfect for a rainy day.

A simple, moving story
I had no expectations upon beginning this book, but I'm glad I read it. Stella is a teenage girl who has suffered much in her life, yet learns and grows through it. This is her story of coming of age, finding her voice, and discovering happiness in the world. It's simple yet moving.
