Jeeves and Wooster are in rare form as they attempt to help several couples sort out their romantic issues. Once again this is a wonderful Jeeves and Wooster story as Wooster tries to do all the work without the help of Jeeves, of course it's a disaster, but where would the fun be without it? This is fine audio production complete with sound effects.

2.5 stars. This was not my favorite Jeeves read. I found myself irritated with the majority of the characters in this book, Bertie and Glossop at the top of my list. The people in Bertie's life behave in such a beastly manner most of the time, they are very unsympathetic, and therefore uninteresting, characters to read about.

I was mostly glad when this was over, as only the last 5 pages proved enjoyable. I laughed very infrequently. I only recommend to committed fans of the series or Wodehouse.

Listened to this at The Classic Tales podcast and I have to say, faaaaaantastic. I found it rather tedious early on, but once I internalized the patterns of these characters, I enjoyed it immensely. I want my very own Aunt Dahlia.

My style of book, definitely. It drags on a bit at times, but it does so ingeniously. In other words, it does this as a good thing, I think. Part of its charm. I'm glad to know that there is a series based on these characters!

I discovered PG Wodehouse a few years ago and fell in love. I hadn't read an entire Jeeves novel until now (though some passages/short stories had me absolutely hooked). I'm so excited that I finished one, and now I want to read them all. So much fun!
