Yet again I am fooled, me!
Honestly at this point i'm thinking its not terribly difficult to do.
Another great story, and the first of Poirot. Perhaps i should have started with this one, but thats how it goes. Poor Hastings, the man wears his heart on his sleeve.
Great mystery, short read but exciting the whole time.

It was a good read but not my favourite Christie - I felt less anticipation for the ending than with others. Still didn’t take long to read and I enjoyed it overall

This is one of those “of its time” books. The characters are shallow - Poirot remains a series of mannerisms rather than a rounded character and too many of the others are indistinguishable. I read the Gutenberg download (free on eBook) and some of the language (the “n” word for example) jarred. I can see why they edit them for a modern readership.
The resolution is clever and had me fooled - but I finished with the impression that Christie is the master of puzzles rather than of the fleshed-put, really good read.

I don't understand mystery stories. I read them more or less constantly these days, but it just makes me ponder the deeper implications of "who done it?" In the large scheme of life, man, it's like . . we ALL done it, you know? Also, gorgeous ladies always cause big distractions.
But maybe I'm the target audience for mysteries. I forget the happenings one week after reading. No spoilers.

3rd Agatha Christie, I was fooled once more! Damn it. Just when I thought I finally figured it out.
It has all the ease of reading a Christie but I just didn’t find it as exciting as Crooked House or Peril at End House. Also, I found there to be repetitive iterations of events which annoyed me to the point where I could hear myself go bla bla bla.
Hoping my next read doesn’t take place in a house. Hmm…maybe on a train?

It was annoying that Hercule kept coming up with ideas and refusing to explain them. I remember why I don’t like Agatha Christie’s books.

*Insert meme of Leslie knope pointing at a PowerPoint that says “you blew it. Super hard. Complete buffoonery”
Lol I guessed wrong. Strangely enough, the ending is very similar to “death on the Nile” so maybe I should have seen it coming lol?
