This was a really interesting and engaging mystery/ detective novel. There are two protagonists whose stories intertwine throughout the novel, and I thought Wyatt’s was a bit better, but over all this book grabbed my attention from beginning to end.
Graphic: Grief
Moderate: Gun violence, Violence, Blood, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail

I really appreciated the portrayal of trauma, survivor’s guilt, and the desperate need for closure. One thing that I did find to be a bit weird was the way that the non-white characters were talked about.
StoryGraph has a more accurate synopsis compared to Goodreads, so I’m glad to see that because one of my issues was that the character dynamic was nothing like the one that Goodreads described. So there’s no need for me to go over those inaccuracies in this review.
