I thought people were exaggerating when they talked about how bad this book was. They weren’t—not in the slightest. In fact, it’s worse. Hardin and Tessa are THE worst couple I’ve ever read about. There’s a distinct pattern in their relationship—they hate each other, they decide to be friends, then they love each other and two seconds later they have a fight and hate each other again. And it goes on and on. Constant fights and screaming and yelling in a relationship is not cute, nor is it healthy. Even by themselves, these characters fucking suck. Tessa’s a slut-shaming typical conservative/innocent girl who ends up cheating on her boyfriend Noah several times before getting with Hardin, and Hardin is extremely violent, constantly trying to control Tessa and who she’s with. He’s also very jealous, and rude to people he barely knows. It’s a recipe for disaster to say the least.

It’s way too long. I believe the hard copy is 580 pages and the ebook is 1080. I had to get an audiobook to force myself to finish this and I’m a clown for deciding to read it in the first place. We’re following a boring and toxic and repetitive relationship and the plot is nowhere to be found, so it has no business being this long.

I can’t believe Wattpad would publish this piece of shit and make a movie out of it. Why don’t they publish a good book that has good characters, healthy romances (and even if they showcase abusive relationships like this one does, at least distinguish that treating someone like that is NOT okay), and actual plot. Lots of people work hard on their books they publish on Wattpad, and out of all those masterpieces, they choose THIS. Do better. That’s all I gotta say.

Wow, this book was definitely interesting…. I kept telling myself I’d never read this book. Well, I ended up reading it…..

So, I’d just like to mention that I really have a love -hate relationship with this one. I enjoyed it a lot. But, it was also a very frustrating read with all the back and forth bs. I really don’t know how I feel about Hardin. He’s a complicated character that I’m very curious to know more about. Tessa is one of those sweet innocent girls with the sweet innocent boyfriend. You know the usual?
