So, yeah, nope. Not reading any more by this author.
I picked this short up for free on kindle a while back when looking for witchy stories.
It is a witchy story, but the entire thing just tickled me the wrong way, and I don't exactly know why.

The writing was OK, but for some reason every little weird mistake made me cringe like it was all over the place — which it wasn't.

There was a general lack of character arc and story. Just walking around in circle, which made me roll my eyes in the same motion...
I think my biggest problem was with the story, though. There was mention of the witch hunt, and magic, bit it all felt slapped together. Like the author looked away from facts, to write something she thought was cool, but that for me gave the whole thing an air of unseriousness that made me... well... cringe...

So... nope

Good short story

This was a very good short story. It told the story of Arianna the first light witch. I am excited to read more in this series
