This series was awesome. I loved the characters and sudden twists, and intense moments. Gonna change gears with a different kind of book for a bit then come back to the next set of books in this series.

A satisfying conclusion to this portion of the series. I liked that there was a hopeful note, but that it's tinged by the dire nature of their circumstances. Howey does a nice job of pulling back the curtain on the world outside the silo.

The fifth and final volume in the "main" Wool series.

Howey gives himself the room to stretch himself again, narratively, in a way he hasn't since the first volume. The result feels like a complete work, as volumes 2 through 4 didn't. You'd still need to read the earlier entries, of course, as with a traditional series.

Generally: satisfying. The ending leaves a lot unanswered, presumably to be addressed in further entries. I spent a fair bit of this volume worried, waiting to see what was coming next.

As an experiment in format, I think Wool is a solid success. The first and fifth volumes are easily my favorites; it's probably best enjoyed in omnibus format with no regard for the different volumes; volume 1 can truly stand on its own, but not the others. I'm looking forward to seeing what else Howey releases.

I read on here that someone said the ending was anti-climactic. And while that... isn't exactly untrue, I think this ending suited the book better. All in all, the series has been fantastic.

I enjoyed this book as the end to the Wool series however it definitely left me wanting more. I need to know what happens to some of the characters! Looks like I'll have to read the other books in the overall Silo series to find out...

Fantastic conclusion to the series! Howey has created a world that I truly hope he continues to write stories about, because the possibilities are endless here! I think the scariest part of this series is that you can so easily see this world becoming a reality some day. I can't wait to hear more about silo 18 and silo 17 soon. With there being so many silos, this series could go on for a very long time indeed. :)

We have answers to so much in this story, where to begin? I think it's best not to divulge too much - go read it, seriously! It is amazing.

Overall, I really liked this series. However, this book gets a 2.5 star rating because it just didn't deliver like the others. The thoughts and plots seemed to be more disjointed, and... incomplete. I think that's what I'm feeling. Parts felt drawn out, but the ending seemed rushed.

But I still enjoyed reading these books. I'll be keeping an eye out for more by this author.

I really enjoyed the series and I'm glad I found out about it. Book five had lots of great - and some even philosophical - moments.

But I didn't like the end. It was too quick, too aprupt. And I Lukas bugs me somehow. I can't believe that Bernard would have trusted and chosen him at all.
