Friend romances get me every time! I love everything Sara writes, but this is my new favorite. So much build up and genuine connection. She hit this one out of the park.....baseball pun intended : )

Jock Row was my first Sara Ney and wow, what a book. I had very low expectations as I am not really interested in baseball, I was just waiting for the moment where the story would go down and it never happened. It is the story of Scarlett who has been proclaimed "jock-blocker" and is therefore forbidden to enter house parties on Jock Row. Rowdy is the one who has been designated to keep this young lady out of the baseball house, but he did not expect her to come back and she did not expect him to wait for her every week. It is really a no drama book, my ultimate favourite, their relationship is completely natural, there is really not even one bad scene in the entire book. It might not be my favourite Jock Hard book, hard to do after Jock Rule, but it is a five-star read and one of my favourite sports romances.

Quick Info
Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone
Part of a Series?: Yes
POV: Scarlett & Sterling
----------------------------------
Meeting the Characters
Sterling - Captain of the baseball team. Senior college student studying psychology.
Scarlett - Marine biologist senior college student.
----------------------------------
What happens?
Scarlett meets Sterling at a baseball party. She is wearing some ridiculously hot outfit (not hot as in wow hot as in you are too warm) she is with some friends who are just after a jock guy to look at them. She rubs up two of the guys in the wrong way by pointing out that they're dumb and they get Sterling to kick her out of the house. I hated him at this point. Calling her a cock blocker so many times was pissing me off. I very nearly DNF this book because of the negative way she was written and he was introduced.
I carried on and really got into it. Sterlling and Scarlet fall in love slowly and its sweet. He can't stay away from her and she can't stay away from him.
Final thoughts
I did notice there was no bad period. So you don't really have anything awful happen and I was sort of expecting there could be.
Would I read again?: No probably not
Would I read this author again?: Yes
