"There were other reasons Percy wanted to save Camp Jupiter. Reasons he didn’t dare put into words—not yet, anyway. Suddenly he saw a future for himself and for Annabeth that he’d never imagined before."

reread: 5 stars (july 20, 2021)

i LOVE this book! i personally think it's easier to connect to the characters in son of neptune rather than the lost hero, but to each their own. although i am primarily a percy stan, i was never bored reading through hazel's or frank's pov. i did think that the pacing was a bit fast at some parts—it seemed like some sections skimped out on details and felt rushed—but i thought it was beautifully executed and a great read overall.
