I received this book in a signed book exchange. This is a captivating story set in the Tuscan Romany world. Ms. Medler has given us mystery and intrigue, as well as family mores, and weaves them into a fascinating romance that leaves you smiling...especially when Riella's mom sees some romantic action, too. If you fancy Romeo-and-Juliet-like reads, then this book is definitely one you will want to add to your shelf.

Immediately I take a liking to Riella as she is considerate and appreciative of nature while seeming down to earth. Action and tragedy ensue soon in a way that make me need to read on and discover the cause of such commotion. I love the promise of drama-to-come and am intrigued and hooked.
At one point I did put the book down to run errands and I actually had that “I miss my book” feeling. Should’ve read it in one sitting to spare myself the emptiness. Very well written overall with well-designed characters that I became attached to. Will seek more from Ella Medler.

Oh boy! Get ready for a wild ride. The is a wonderful look into the Gypsy community through the eyes of a young woman trying to help her people and the young man she falls in love with. I really have to work here to not give more away. Luca, the man who falls in love with Riella is a passionate and imaginative man. They do fall in love at first sight but there are some bad guys lurking. This is a story of passion, of family bonds and most of all, love. Great story that had me hooked from the beginning. Excellent read.
