Cute graphic novel.  Has enough information for kids to get started.  The recipes were easy to follow and the characters were adorable.

* very educational about a whole array of sweet treats and the cuteness factor made it extra memorable

* the mini features for the "storytime" and "science" sections were great - especially the comparisons between using more/less butter, baking powder vs soda, and white vs brown sugar

* it was a little confusing at times, but then, the history of desserts isn't exactly linear

This was a cute dive into a favorite topic of mine- desserts! It was cute and fun with lovely illustrations. It may have been a little too ambitious, but it would definitely be a great starting point for someone to then look up the snacks that sounded delicious and keep exploring.
