I wish I had this book as a kid!!! Wow the lady does go from nice to angry quickly but the drawing lessons are fantastic!

This was such a great graphic novel and way to learn to draw. Of course you wont have someone to say how well or not your doing but it was still amazingly drawn and written!

Some very good art lessons wrapped up in a surprisingly warm little story. An excellent counter to all the 'how to draw ____' books, this book show techniques and skills rather than particular objects. The narrative style also helps mitigate some of the potential intimidation learning artists feel too.

When I talk about art, I always end up referencing Mark Crilley. This man is the best teacher I've seen, ever! He's funny, smart, patient... And we can see it in this book. The teacher in this book is like a harsher version of him without the blushies, the white gouache and Old Man Time Lapse. It's the perfect addition to his videos, letting us see some things he can't show us when he teaches how to draw. The story is cute but still interesting for adults.
It's a really good book to read, to learn, to have good time... I promise you won't regret it!

It's exactly as the subtitle says, this graphic novel will teach you how to draw. And it will hit you in the fees at the end too!
