This one was harder for me to attach to. I couldn't put Thoughtless down. I loved the plot, I fell in love with the characters, and even though it was so hurtful to Denny, I loved the heat between Kellan and Kiera. In this book I feel like Kiera took a step backwards and all the sudden got prudish. I didn't like it. I'm hoping the roller coaster in their relationship is over in book 3, because its kind of overdone, In my opinion. I liked this book, but I LOVED book 1.

What a great ending to the story of Kiera, Kellen and The D-Bags. I thought Effortless was better than Thoughtless in so many ways. Other reviewers are right that you don't have to read one before the other; however, it ties a lot of things together and I highly recommend you do. This was an intriguing story of fame, love, deceit and ultimately trust. I couldn't put the book down and was hooked from page 1. I am excited to read other novels by this author.

Being the sappy, hopeless romantic that still believes in fairytale love, I loved this book!

This is a comprehensive review of both Thoughtless and Effortless.
A band. A bad boy with a tortured soul. A thoughtless girl in desperate need of decisiveness. Is effed up and frustrating too trite a way to describe this series? Probably, but it's exactly how I feel when I think about this series. I chewed my fingernails to bloody stubs, unable to put these books down. Praise Jaysus for happy endings.

I really loved this series. Definitely on my list of favorites ever read. Towards the end of this one, I didn't want to put it down. You know it's a good book when you wish you could read your Kindle during your work commute.
Can't wait for book #3 Reckless to come out in March!

I love this series! SC Stephens has done a phenomenal job of continuing the story of Kellan Kyle and Kiera Allen!
This is the sequel to Thoughtless, where we were first introduced to the main characters. Kiera and Kellan are finally moving their relationship forward after a difficult beginning. Kellan's band- the D-Bags- are also moving up when they are discovered at Bumbershoot. They are going on tour, and Kellan and Kiera have to figure out how to navigate their relationship and find trust in each other while being apart for an extended period of time.
SC Stephens really captured the feelings that Kellan and Kiera are experiencing. I absolutely loved it, and highly recommend Effortless. This series is a top five series of mine, without a doubt!

In the first book of this series, titled Thoughtless, I really hated the main character, Kiera. I hated her much less in this book. In Effortless, Kiera did a lot of maturing, and while she still made some pretty stupid mistakes, at least she owned up to them. Thankfully, Kellan did too. Together, they were funny, sweet, and most definately steamy. While they had some communication issues, sex was not a problem here.
Please know, this is a long book, and I read it while on vacation. I would not recommend this book while on vacation. It made me crazy, and I had to put it down, a lot. That being said, it was a good book and worth a read. Enjoy!

I am giving this book 4 stars, only because I was so involved with the characters from the first book. I was glad to see that Kiera has matured a lot since the first story, but not much happened in this one. It was a bit draggy at the beginning then tied up in a bow at the end.
The overuse of words and expressions were in this book as well, but not as prevalent as the first ("blushing" 153 times!) But "chuckling" and "flushing" were there a lot. A good editor can clean up a lot of the problems with these books. But SC Stephens is a good storyteller, so those problems can be overlooked. The books have a feeling of a young girl writing in her diary....but at the end of Effortless, we see that may be intentional?
Overall, I liked watching how this relationship matures......I will read the next.
