It took me ahwile to get thru this book. Luckily it was split up enough to not matter. Overall it was interesting. I was born in 52 so pretty much came of age in the 60's. A little too young to have lived the turmoil, but I do remember it. Should have realized that it would be a political as it was. There was a lot of political shaking going on at that time. I recommend this book to others who are interested in an overview of the 60's. Worth reading, even if you skip parts.

This book started out great, but I didn't really like the way it ended. I kind of skimmed through a lot of the parts about Vietnam and the last section of the book because I was getting bored. The parts I liked the most were about the women's & Civil Rights Movement. But honestly, sometimes I wanted to tell those baby boomers to get off their high horse.

I really enjoyed reading about the history of the decade. It was fun reading about each person's perspective of the decade, and what it meant for them, and what they are doing now. I would recommend this book to high schoolers who are learning about this time in history.
