Zack and Ruben were interesting but Angel and Jon really stole the show. 
The second half of this book is definitely much stronger than the first. I found myself frustrated at the lack of communication and immature behaviour from both Zack and Ruben in the first 50%.

To me the conflict they had after they kissed for the first time made Ruben look like a very shitty friend. I didn't understand why he didn't put the pieces together about why Zack needed that much space or at least was a little less defensive about Zack avoiding him. It feels out of character even though he is supposed to be a teen it stands out as a uniquely unkind reaction.

Absolute perfection! I devoured If This Gets Out, and it was definitely one of the best romances I have read this year. If you're a fan of friends to lovers or rock star (although in this case boy band) romances, If This Gets Out is not to be missed. The alternating POVs of Zach and Ruben worked incredibly well and had me cheering for each of them throughout the whole book!

Maybe nothing was wrong and this is just not my kind of book. Nothing happened and the characters stayed shallow.
I mean, I know lots of famous people are not happy and boybands are a construct without freedom and little creativity and artists loose income when coming out and addiction is common in the music business. If you like those facts illustrated for hours and nothing else, this is your book.
