Another murder that is linked to Jude’s sphere rather than Carole’s and it is a good one - with horses, horsey people problems and real big issues. I enjoyed it. Also Carole at the races is a hoot.

I usually really enjoy Brett’s books. This one had a little bit of engaging plot, but who the killer was and the surprise news at the ending were so obvious it was almost laughable.

Back to the old standard structure... but still enjoyable.
I like Carol and Jude and appreciate that things happen between them and the other characters that are open-ended and variable.

Good. A little icky with the psychopathy. I liked the trip to the horse races.
