Just as good as the first book in the series! Read 3/4 of it in a single day.  Couldn’t put it down! Themes of death continue so may be a bit much for some younger readers but the political landscape and character development keeps you guessing, feelings of angst, and a desire to keep reading!

As the second book to Shusterman's Scythe series, Thunderhead holds up as an equally riveting story. Perhaps not as thought provoking as the first, this book still delivers on entertainment value, an interesting world structure, and a thrilling set up for the third book. I don't often recommend many novels with as much enthusiasm as I do this one and its sister book, but it's well deserved: well written with dynamic characters and an interesting story. Five stars, all the way.

This book just blew my mind.

This series is not fastpaced and actionpacked, but still it is so damn intriguing. And that ending was just otherworldy. So now I will be starting The Toll as soon as possible.

I think I liked this one more than the first! The plot is well thought-out and executed well. Lots of twists, and characters that at first appear to be random become very important later. Very enjoyable read!
