This sparse short story is a triumph and poignant regarding the time in which I read it. When your love for someone is so wildly complete, you fail to see them clearly at all. This feels like a sister piece to Normal People, insomuch that characters are beholden to other characters for reasons that seem secret. A slight, but powerful piece that shows she is a modern day Salinger as promised, but that the world in which she writes and places these characters is a very different one than existed in his prime years. Thankfully and regretfully all at once.

In the words of the great and wise Jack Edwards, I would literally read this woman's shopping list. I love, love, love, love, love her so much.

I love Sally Rooney writing style so much it’s absolutely beautiful!
Honestly in my opinion it was too short to understand the story enough but overall it was still a great read.
