Oooofff! I slept while reading this, twice! Got bored as hell and at one point it was not about reading it was about finishing the story to move to next book. The story was short but highly stretched, not that story was not good but it killed my mood for romance.

Maybell inherits a mansion from her great-aunt but discovers that half of it belongs to grumpy Wesley.. ensue montages of them cleaning out the house and renovating. Coincidentally, the second book I’ve read this week where the MMC has anxiety.

It was with no small amount of trepidation that I picked up this book, because Sarah Hogle's You Deserve Each Other has been one of the worst reads of this year for me. I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved Maybell and her soft heart that refused to be broken from the very beginning. This love continued throughout the book and I laughed, cried, hoped, and persevered together with Maybell until the end. Both Maybell and Wesley are characters after my own heart: a little bruised and battered, but still soft and kind. I love them so much.
