Just the way Alaina wants to spend her birthday: kidnapped and waking up in a burning vehicle surrounded by bodies before being knocked out all over again. When she comes to a second time she is in a remote cabin with little to no hope of Wolf, Rush, or Sully finding her. She feels she will have to find her own way out and that comes with thwarting some unwanted advances from some of her captors. But her boys are down but not out. They are hot on her trail and will eventually save her in at least moderately one piece. She gives herself some time to wallow in her misery before she kicks her shoulders back and accepts the self defense lessons her boys are desperate to impart upon her.

However, there is more to this family that she originally thought. She had a suspicion that there were mafia ties going on within their ranks but she never had any proof. Now she may be stumbling onto a whole world of secrets and all of them are centered around her past. She not only has the mission to uncover the secrets of the Fitzgerald men but also a burning desire to find out what happened to her own family. Why is her mom suddenly marrying their dad? Why was she kidnapped? Who has it out for her? And will she be able to navigate all this while also trying to figure out her odd relationships with each of the Fitzgerald men?

Another great installment in the series. While there is still no outright sex, I am not as bothered by it as I have been with other books. The plot has me guessing so much that I find myself turning pages not just for the love scenes but also for the mystery and action. I do favor Wolf a bit more than the rest... kind of frustrated with Sully... and intrigued by Rush's obsession with Alaina. I have been trying to guess the plot for a while and I figured it had something to do with Alaina's dad disappearing but the twists and turns in this series really keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Rush is a really good middle book to a series. It touches on things in the characters' pasts, cultivates relationships, and progresses the plot. It even gives you a few characters who you don't exactly know whether they are good or bad from one page to the next. All in all, I am hungry for the next one!

Thank you Penelope Black for sharing your awesome writing skills. I throughly enjoyed Wolf and enjoyed Rush just as much!! I cannot wait to dive into Sully!!

We saw lots of action in this one. We get pieces of background story. Alaina is coming into her own. Some questions are answered buts just as many are new questions are unanswered. This book starts right off where book 1 finished on that cliffhanger. And this book also finished on a cliffhanger - but what great book doesn’t?

If you haven’t read book 1 start there as this book is a continuation and you would be missing out in so much.

This series (book 1 and 2) also has the best Spotify playlists that go with the novels - so don’t miss those.

Oh my god another amazing, action packed, edge of your seat book in the brotherhood series!!!
I’m this book we are back where we left off with Alaina, wolf, rush and sully with this book we get to know Rush more and my god is he one fine as hell man! His connection with Alaina is off the charts they are so drawn to each other! We can see they all have their struggles with sharing Alaina but in order to have her they are willing to do it! This men are so possessive but yet protective of her!
This book had so much more explosive action and plot twists I didn’t want to put it down!!
Alaina’s growth is really beginning to show you can see that the things she is being put through is making her stronger and I can’t wait to see how the events of this book changes her in book 3
I’m so excited to read Sully’s book as he’s still a big mystery he’s grumpy, dangerous, intriguing and I can’t wait to see what’s in store in that book!

This ends on a cliffhanger as well and my god what a cliffhanger that was I need answers!!

Once again, absolutely despise the cover but this book was SO good, read it all in one sitting, couldn't put it down at all. I can't wait to pick up the finale of this trilogy, I have such high expectations.

This book picks up where Wolf ended Alaina is about to find out more about the Fitzgerald brothers. Sully, Wolf, and Rush each have their own personalized but collectively they are three possessive alpha aholes and refuse to give her up. We learn more about Alaina and her past this book was emotional at time. The cliffhanger wow I can't wait for Sully I need answers.

After surviving a kidnapping and a near death experience, the brothers take Amelia to the only place they can think of. Their safe house, the one nobody knows anything about. She'll be safe there, and there she will train and learn how to protect herself. The brothers all know that the pact they made could easily come into fruition with Amelia, but it has to be all in or nothing at all. Each brother has a history with her, and her with them. But they have to learn how to navigate this while also navigating the threats coming from every angle. Nobody knows who they can trust, and that might be the most dangerous thing of all.

A call from her mother informing Amelia that she broke off the engagement is shocking, but what's more shocking is the warning to stay away from the brothers. When Amelia meets her mother she knows that something isn't right, but it isn't until she's entering an abandoned building that she realizes how much danger she's in. Her kidnapper is here for her once again, and she has no way out. But the brothers are on their way, the question is if they'll find her in time.

"We always come for our girl."

Rush pick up where Wolf left off. Alaina is kidnapped and trying to surviving. Rush, Wolf, and Sully are looking for her. When they found her that when they know she really belongs to them even though Sully still fight his feelings he is still very protected of her. Alaina does a lot of grow in this book. And the events through the books will keep you on guess what going to happen next. And the cliffhanger ending is perfect. Rush has passion steamy tragic and love. Penelope Black does fantastic job show up the emotional show of the characters. She also does great job with plot of Rush. Can’t wait to see how the series continues in the next book: Sully.

I was given arc for exchanging for my honest opinion.
