Over all, I did enjoy this book. While I was reading, I couldn't really tell if I was going to really like it or not. It kind of got repetitive (yes, I know thats kind of the whole point of the story!), but the days kept repeating and repeating, then boom end. It was predictable, but I did enjoy the Sam character. I liked how much she changed from day to day. It really makes you think about if you could change things, would you? Great book and I would encourage any young adult to read this one!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Lauren Oliver has never been bullied. Not really. I get what she was trying to do, but I felt very little sympathy for Sam and her friends. They TORTURED people for years with zero remorse in order to feel better about themselves. There was no character growth, not really. Sam didn't learn anything. Neither did Lindsey. Lindsey will go on being a horrible person that treats other people like garbage, and Juliet will still have all of her problems. Sam didn't do anything to change anything.

I'm so angry at this book.

Yes, the characters are despicable and, sadly, realistic. They're human, and flawed like humans tend to be. I liked watching Sam stumble toward goodness and become more and more her authentic self. I was glad that she didn't have to completely shed her friends to find peace.
