I love the premise of this series. I love that most of the time it is from the perspective of the mum which we don’t get very often. But I do find the reactions by the son are a little over the top and it jars me a little. But overall I do like it.

This story just gets sweeter. I love the way this family treats each other. T_T (except for you, dad!)
This is the second Japanese comic series I've read from the POV of a straight family member about evaluating their assumptions re: a gay loved one. Most of the Western LGBTQIA+ books I read are more focused on social justice and system issues, which is generally what I'd prefer, but it's interesting to read these stories--both written by gay men--that are instead focused on personal reflection. There is still plenty of social commentary, but the cultures are sufficiently different that there are some things I wouldn't have anticipated.
Anyway, these make my heart warm and fuzzy. I like seeing the three main characters not only become more developed, but start to gain a clearer understanding of themselves and their agency.
