This is a short book but it took a while to read because it is a bit racist and that was exhausting to get through.

Welp, I knew it. I didn't know how or why, but I had a feeling about who. I also found the narrator a little annoying. Who doesn't want to be on an archeological dig in the thirties!! But anyway. A solid Agatha.

As always a quick and fun read. However, after reading so many of her books it has become easier to guess the killer. At one point I was like "it would have been better if
Dr. Leidner was the killer" and indeed he was. I really hated the way that he killed Miss Johnson it was too brutal and not like the deaths in her other books.
There were many of its time elements so that did make this less enjoyable but overall I liked it just not as much as some other books from her.

I definitely enjoy the Agatha Christie formula. Even if I guess who the murderer is, I miss other elements.
